Abstract

Research Aim: The distribution system by adding the renewable energy sources as wind farms, solar and energy storage systems (distributed and central), and electric vehicles, as planned, goes toward the smart grid. Planning the charging and discharging of electric vehicles and sitting and sizing of electric parking lots as a distributed energy resourcesin order to inject electric power into the smart grid during an error, creates the potential for the least load shedding and simultaneously could maintain network parameters at a desirable level. Research method:In this thesis, using the HOMER software, the power of electrical resources in the 14-bus network of Ullengdo Island, South Korea, was calculated under normal situation, and using the GAMS software and the SBB algorithm the parking lots areallocated as a distributed storage resourcesto support loads demandduring the recovery time at the slack bus. Findings: In this project, the goals of optimal allocation of parking lots are as reducing the loads shedding, losses, outage time and voltage drop.Using the load model power flow, taking into account the several types of load, the exact calculation of the production of the DG units in the sample network using the HOMER software and the use of Pareto optimization method for allocating electric parking lots are the other novelty of this thesis. Conclusion:The results of the simulationsshows the effectiveness of the proposed method for reducing the load shedding and improve voltage profile.
