Abstract

The MCNP4C code was used for simulating lung. In this work, lung incompetence was theoretically investigated. Lung and trachea tissues were simulated using MCNP4C code and assumed they contained 99mTc as a radioactive source with 140KeV energy. We defined phantoms that had a lung and spherical ‘tumor’ (the lung has 0.296 g/cm3 density). We could recognize tumor in lung when ρ= 1g/cm3, radius= 0.1cm. Because at location of tumor photon counts were decreased from 7.32979E-04 to 7.32214E-04. It means that this tumor recognizable by MCNP code. Detecting process was repeated for various densities from tumor= 1 to tumor=5 g/cm3 and various depths from 12mm to 24 mm. it was obtained that tumor density, gamma energy, tumor depth and tumor size are important parameters that effect on tumor detection.

Persian Abstract: کد MCNP4C برای شبيه¬سازی ريه استفاده شد. در اين مطالعه، نارسائی ريه به¬صورت تئوری بررسی شد. بافت¬های ريه و نای با استفاده از کد MCNP4C شبيه¬سازی شد و فرض شد که شامل Tc-99m به عنوان چشمة راديواکتيو با انرژی KeV 140 بودند. ما فانتوم¬ها را تعريف کرديم که يک ريه و يک تومور کروی داشت(ريه چگالی g/cm3 0.296 دارد). ما توانستيم تومور ريه را وقتی که g/cm31= و cm1/0=r است تشخيص دهيم. چون در محل تومور شمارش فوتون¬ها کاهش يافت از 000739101/0به 000732214/0. به اين معنی است که اين تومور قابل تشخيص توسط کد است. فرايند آشکارسازی برای چگالی¬های مختلف از 1=ρ تا 5=ρ و اعماق مختاف نيز تکرار شد. اين نتايج بدست آمد که چگالی تومور، انرژی گاما، عمق تومور و اندازة تومور پارامترهای مهمی هستند که روی آشکارسازی تومور تأثير می¬گذارند.
