Abstract

Introduction: psychologists have designed different ways to resolve children's behavioral problems over the years. The most prominent way of charging behavior in children is return to the play therapy. One of these ways is play therapy according to child-parent relationship therapy. Aim:The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of group play therapy (CPRT) in promoting the quality of life and reducing anxiety disorders in preschool children in miyaneh in(97-98). Method: the research method was experimental with design of pre-test and post-test and control group the statistical population of this study included all urban preschool children in the year 1397-98, of which 36 were selected by random sampling and were divided into experimental(18) and control groups(18). For experimental group,the intervention sessions were held for 10 sessions per week, but the control group was not exposed to any interventions. The children's quality of life questionaries(TAPQOL),and questionnaire for anxiety disorders of preschool children(SCAS) As a research tool in the pretest and posttest stayes, was answered by the parents of children data were analyzed by single-variable covariance analysis. Findings:The results showed that the mean scores in the experimental group had a significant increase in the post-test stage compured to the control group(p<0/01). The findings suggest the effectiveness of CPRT in improving the quality of life and the reduction of anxiety disorders in preschool children. Conclusion:Based on the results of present study, attention should be paid to the role of play therapy CPRT as one of the treatment strategies in children,due to the increasing quality of life of children and the reduction of anxiety disorders in preschool children.
