Abstract
The present research was aimed to study the effects of teaching approach on self-efficacy and self-concept of sixth grade student in mathematics in educational year 2014-2015 in Ardabil city. To this end, two classes were chosen from second district education organization school according to available data collection method. The statistical sample of the existing research is composed of 25 students in experimental group and 27 students in control group, in that the students of experimental group were trained for two month based on George Polya's problem solving approach. The methodology of the research is grounded on mid-experimental kind of pre-test and post-test along with control group. In order to evaluate the effects of George Polya's problem solving approach on self-concept of mathematics, we went through using self-description questionnaire which was developed by Herbert, W. Marsh (1983) that is based on Marsh and Shivelson multifold hierarchical method on the conception of 'self'. For evaluating the effects of self-efficacy of mathematics, we also used Midehlson and Milgi's self-efficacy questionnaire of mathematics. The findings indicated that George Polya's problem solving approach on self-efficacy and self-concept of mathematics has positive and significant effects. In other words, this approach results in developing and increasing mathematics self-efficacy and self-concept of students.

| Persian Abstract: | هدف از این پژوهش برسی تاثیر آموزش حل¬مساله¬ی جورج پولیا بر خودکارآمدی و خودپنداره¬ی ریاضی دانش¬آموزان پایه ششم ابتدایی سال تحصیلی94-95 شهر اردبیل بود که به این منظور تعداد ۵۲ دانش آموز از طریق نمونه گیری در دسترس از دو کلاس مدرسه ای در ناحیه ۲ شهر اردبیل انتخاب شد که یک کلاس به عنوان گروه گواه و یک کلاس به عنوان گروه آزمایش مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. تعداد دانش آموزان در گروه گواه ۲۵ نفر و در گروه کنترل ۲۷ نفر بوده اند که گروه آزمایش به مدت 2 ماه تحت آموزش به روش حل مساله جورج پولیا قرار گرفت. روش این پژوهش نیمه آزمایشی از نوع طرح پیش آزمون و پس آزمون با گروه کنترل است. برای اندازه¬گیری تاثیر حل¬مساله جورج پولیا بر خودپنداره¬ی ریاضی از پرسشنامه توصیف خود،که درسال۱۹۸۳توسط هربرت دبیلیومارش براساس مدل چندگانه و سلسله مراتبی مارش و شیولسون از مفهوم خود ساخته شده است و همچنین برای اندازه¬گیری تاثیر حل¬مساله جورج پولیا بر خودکارآمدی ریاضی از پرسشنامه¬ی خودکارآمدی ریاضی میدلتون و میلگی استفاده شد.نتایج نشان داد که حل¬مساله جورج پولیا بر خودکارآمدی ریاضی و خودپنداره¬ی ریاضی دانش-آموزان تاثیر مثبت و معنی¬داری دارد به عبارتی این روش باعث بهبود و افزایش خودپنداره¬ی ریاضی و خودکارآمدی ریاضی دانش آموزان شد. | ||||||
