Abstract

spectrum disorder is one of the most common developmental disorders in children that occurs in the early years of childhood as a qualitative deterioration in social interactions and skills and in stereotypical and repetitive patterns in children’s behavior, interests and activities. Stereotyped patterns in behavior, attention and attention deficit disorder, cognitive development, as well as impairments in social functioning and communication skills in autistic children lead to the daily activities and functions of these children, from playing to educational activities and even at higher levels, it also disrupts their work activities. Therefore, stereotyped behaviors should be reduced in every way possible This study was conducted to investigate the effect of play therapy based on motor sensory integration on stereotyped behaviors in autistic children. Findings: Evaluation of resources related to motor sensory integration game play therapy has had beneficial effects on improving interaction and reducing stereotyped movements and behaviors in children with autism spectrum disorder. Conclusion: It seems that this type of therapy can be useful and effective in combination with other behavioral interventions in reducing the stereotypical and repetitive behavior patterns of children with autism spectrum disorder.
