Abstract

As a by-product of industrial or domestic activities, wastewater of different compositions has caused serious environmental problems all over the world. Also our water resources are limited and, hence, water treatment and recycling methods are the only alternatives for getting fresh water in the coming decades. Therefore, there is a great need for the development of a suitable, inexpensive and rapid wastewater treatment techniques and reuse or conservation methods in the present century. So new treatment techniques for recovering water and valuable compounds from wastewater at low costs are urgently needed. For this reason researchers have begun to make use of evaporation techniques in wastewater treatment. Evaporation techniques have many advantages, such as high efficiency, energy saving, low costs and so on. In this paper other treatment methods compared to evaporation method from different direction.
