Abstract

Research Aim: This research was conducted to study the effect of various glycine betaine and ethanol levels on indexes of germination, performance, and weight of thousand seeds of Lallemantia iberica F.&C.M in Ardabil Research Center (Alaroog) and seed laboratory of the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili in 2016-2017. Research method: This test was executed as a two-factor factorial test in fully randomized block designs with three replications. The main factor was Lallemantia iberica F.&C.M ecotypes (12 cultivars) and the second factor was spraying in 4 levels (control: spraying only by distilled water, ethanol spraying, glycine betaine spraying, and the combination of glycine betaine and ethanol spraying). Findings: Variance analysis of the laboratory showed the significant difference in 5% and 1% p-value between the main factor (Lallemantia iberica F.&C.M) and secondary factor (spraying levels) and also based on the reciprocal effect of the main and secondary factors based on all the evaluated characteristics. General results showed that glycine betaine and ethanol spraying had a positive effect on germination indexes of glycine betaine and ethanol spraying ecotypes because the combination of glycine betaine and ethanol spraying had the maximum effect on the germination indexes and Kurdistan, Hashtrud, and Zanjan ecotypes were in the prior group by considering all the germination indexes and were prior than the other ecotypes. Variance analysis of performance and weight of thousand seeds showed there was a significant difference in 1% p-value for both characteristics between the main factor (Lallemantia iberica F.&C.M) and secondary factor (spraying levels). There is a positive and significant relationship between two characteristics (r=0.988*). In other words, increasing the weight of thousand seeds increased the seed performance. In addition, the linear and significant relationship was observed between seed performance and weight of thousand seeds in 5% p-value that is aligned and matched with correlation results of two characteristics. The combination of glycine betaine and ethanol spraying (562.66 kg/ha and 5.68 g) had the maximum seed performance and weight of thousand seeds than other treatments. The combination of glycine betaine and ethanol spraying increased them 19.84% more than control treatment, 17.8% more than glycine betaine spraying, and 16.98% than ethanol spraying. Moreover, the combination of glycine betaine and ethanol spraying increased the weight of thousand seeds 17.42% more than control treatment. The native Hashtrud ecotype with 647 kg/ha mean had the maximum seed performance, native Mashhad ecotype with 5.25 g mean had the maximum, and native Takan ecotype with 4.63 g mean had the minimum weight of thousand seeds. Conclusion: It seems that using the combination of glycine betaine and ethanol spraying can be a proper tool to improve the indexes of germination and performance of Lallemantia iberica F.&C.M because of improving the characteristics of performance, the weight of thousand seeds, and germination.

Persian Abstract: هدف:افزایش عملکرد و اجزای عملکرد با استفاده از متابولیت¬های سازگارکننده گلایسین¬بتائین و اتانول هدف اصلی پژوهش می باشد. روش‌شناسی پژوهش:آزمایش به¬صورت فاکتوریل دو فاکتوره در قالب طرج بلوک¬کامل تصادفی در سه تکرار بود. فاکتور اول اکوتیپ-هایبالنگوی شهری (12 رقم) با نام علمیLallemantia iberica F.&C.Mهمگی با نام محلی بزرک سیاه و محلول پاشی به عنوان فاکتور دوم در چهار سطح (شاهد: محلول پاشی فقط با آب مقطر، محلول پاشی اتانول، محلول پاشی گلایسین بتائین و محلول پاشی اتانول و گلایسین بتائین) بود. یافته‌ها: نتايج تجزيه واريانس عملکرد و وزن هزار دانه که از نظر هر دو صفت بین فاکتور اول (اکوتیپ¬های بالنگوی شهری) و سطوح فاکتور دوم (سطوح محلولپاشی) اختلاف معنی‌داری در سطوح احتمال 1 درصد وجود داشت. رابطه مثبت و معنی¬داری (*988/0r=)بین دو صفت وجود دارد به عبارتی با افزایش وزن هزار دانه عملکرد دانه افزایش مییابد، همچنین رابطه خطی و معنیداری در سطح احتمال 5 درصد بین عملکرد دانه و وزن هزار دانه که همسو و همجت با نتایج همبستگی بین دو صفت می¬باشد. نتیجه‌گیری: ترکیب گلایسین بتائین و اتانول به ترتیب با میانگین¬های (66/562 کیلوگرم در هکتار و 68/5 گرم) نسبت به سایر تیمارها دارای بالاترین عملکرد دانه و وزن هزار دانه بودند. ترکیب محلول پاشی گلایسین بتائین + اتانول باعث افزایش 84/19 درصدی نسبت به شاهد، 80/17 درصدی نسبت به محلول پاشی با گلایسین بتائین و 98/16 درصدی نسبت به محلول پاشی با اتانول گردید. همچنین ترکیب محلول پاشی گلایسین بتائین با اتانول باعث افزایش 42/17 درصدی وزن هزار دانه نسبت به شاهد گردید. اکوتیپ بومی هشترود با میانگین 647 کیلوگرم در هکتار بالاترین عملکرد دانه را به خود اختصاص داد و از نظر وزن هزار دانه اکوتیپ بومی مشهد با 25/5 گرم بالاترین و اکوتیپ بومی تکاب با میانگین 63/4 گرم کمترین وزن هزار دانه داشت.
