Abstract
The diamondback moth (DBM), Plutella xylostella (L.) (Lepidoptera: Plutellidae), is an important pest of canola crop, Brassica napus L., in the Ardabil region. In this research, the resistance of 19 canola cultivars to P. xylostella was studied in the three following experiments: (1) field screening, (2) oviposition preference and (3) life table study. The results of the field screening indicated that the number of moth larvae and pupae was lower on Elite, Option500, Ebonite, Hyola401, Opera, Okapi, Adder and RGsoo3 respectively, among the 19 canola cultivars. The oviposition preference and the life table parameters of P. xylostella reared on nine canola cultivars including Zarfam (as control), Ebonite, Elite, Adder, Okapi, RGsoo3, Hyola401, Option500 and Opera (as treatmeants) was studied in greenhouse at 25±5oC, 55±5% RH and 14L:10D. In oviposition preference by females, the number of oviposited eggs per plant on canola cultivars decreased in the following order: Zarfam (44.7), RGsoo3 (35.9), Adder (35.1), Okapi (31.1), Elite (29.8), Opera (29.4), Hyola401 (27.2), Option500 (25.1) and Ebonite (23.5) respectively. In the life table study, the lifetime of female and male on Opera, and Hyola401 was significantly longer than that on Zarfam and Adder. The lifetime fecundity was significantly highest on Adder and lowest on Opera among the nine canola cultivars. The egg-to-adult survival was lowest on Opera, Option500 and Hyola401 and highest on Zarfam among the nine canola cultivars. The intrinsic rate of natural increase (rm), net reproductive rate (R0) and generation time (T) was 0.23, 52.26 and 17.23d on Zarfam; 0.214, 49.35 and 18.22d on Ebonite; 0.207, 44.05 and 18.26d on RGsoo3; 0.193, 34.36 and 18.29d on Okapi; 0.212, 45.54 and 18.04 on Adder; 0.195, 38.22 and 18.71 on Elite; 0.178; 31.41 and 19.41d on Opera, 0.187, 33.46 and 18.72d on Option500 and 0.183, 39.06 and 19.97d on Hyola401 respectively. Based on the population growth parameters, we concluded that Zarfam is the most suitable and Opera is the less suitable host plant for P. xylostella.

(Lepidoptera: Plutellidae) ، آفت جدي کلزا Brassica napus L در اردبيل مي¬باشد. مقاومت 19 رقم کلزا نسبت به شب¬پره¬ي پشت الماسي به¬ترتيب در سه آزمايش متوالي شامل (1) غربال¬سازي مزرعه¬ای، (2) ترجيح تخم¬گذاری و (3) مطالعه¬ي چرخه¬ي زندگي ارزيابي شد. نتايج غربال¬سازي مزرعه¬اي نشان داد که تعداد لاروها و شفيره¬های شب¬پره¬ي پشت الماسي به¬ترتيب روي رقم¬هاي Elite، Option500،Ebonite ، Hyola401، Opera، Okapi، Adder و RGsoo3 در بين 19 رقم مورد مطالعه کمتر بود. آزمايشات ترجيح تخم¬گذاری و مطالعه¬ی چرخه¬ی زندگی اين شب¬پره روي نه رقم کلزا به نام¬هايHyola401 ، Option500، Opera،Elite ، Adder، Okapi، RGsoo3، Ebonite (به عنوان تيمار) و Zarfam (به عنوان شاهد) در گلخانه¬ در دماي C 5±25، رطوبت نسبي 5±55 درصد و دوره¬ي نوري 14 ساعت روشنايي و 10 ساعت تاريکي انجام شد. تعداد تخم¬هاي گذاشته شده روي رقم¬هاي Zarfam (7/44)، RGsoo3(9/35)، Adder (1/35)، Okapi (1/31)، Elite (8/29)، Opera (4/29)، Hyola401، (2/27)، Option500(1/25) و Ebonite (5/23) به¬ترتيب کاهش يافت. در آزمايش مطالعه¬ي چرخه¬ي زندگي، طول دوره¬ي زيستي نر و ماده¬ی شب¬پره روي رقم¬های Opera و Hyola401 به¬طور معني¬داري طولاني¬تر از Zarfam و Adder بود. در بين نه رقم مورد مطالعه بيشترين باروري شب¬پره روي Adder و کمترين آن روي رقم Opera مشاهده گرديد. درصد بقا از تخم تا حشره¬ي کامل روي Opera، Option500 و Hyola401 کمترين و روي Zarfam بيشترين بود. نرخ ذاتي افزايش جمعيت (rm)، نرخ خالص توليدمثل (R0) و طول دوره¬ي يک نسل (T) به¬ترتيب، 23/0، 26/52 و 23/17 روي Zarfam؛ 214/0، 35/49 و 22/18 روي Ebonite؛ 207/0، 05/44 و 26/18 روي RGsoo3؛ ؛ 193/0، 36/34 و 29/18 روي Okapi؛ 212/0، 54/45 و 04/18 روي Adder؛ 195/0، 22/38 و 71/18 روي Elite؛ 178/0، 41/31 و 41/19 روي Opera؛ 187/0، 46/33 و 72/18 روي Option500 و 183/0، 06/39 و 97/19 روي Hyola401 محاسبه گرديد. بر اساس پارامترهاي رشد جمعيت مي¬توان نتيجه¬گيري کرد که Zarfam مطلوب¬ترين و Opera نامطلوب¬ترين رقم براي شب¬پره¬ي پشت الماسي مي¬باشد. | ||||||
