Abstract

In order to determine the effect of zinc and manganese foliar application on spring maize hybrids in northern Khuzestan, a factorial experiment in a randomized complete block design with four levels (pure water spraying, zinc spraying, manganese spraying, and zinc and manganese spraying) as the first factor and two hybrids (Single Cross 704 and Single Cross Caroon) as the second factor with three replications in the region Shams Abad Dezful was executed. The results showed that foliar application of Zn + Mn had significant effect on number of grains per row, 1000-grain weight, grain yield, biological yield and harvest index at 1% probability level, and on grain number per ear at 5% level. According to the results, the highest grain yield (9716 kg / ha) belonged to Zn + Mn treatment in hybrid 704 and the lowest with 6303 kg / ha to control without foliar application in Karun hybrid.
