Abstract

Ladybird Hippodamia variegata One of the most important native natural enemies of various aphid species in the Iran. In the past few decades extensive research The use of botanicals In particular essential oils there have been As an insecticide. In the present study the lethal effects of essential oils Mentha pulegium L. (Lamiaceae), Heracleum persicum Desf. (Apiaceae) and Achillea millefolium L. (Lamiaceae) Ladybird Hippodamia variegata on stage eggs in Experiment was carried out at 25 ± 2° C and 65±5 % R.H. And 16 hours of light and 8 hours under dark concentrations adopting a complete randomized block design.Plant essential oils Mentha pulegium, Heracleum persicum and Achillea millefolium the use Device (Clevenger) was extracted by distillation, water distillation glass. The bioassay experiments were performed in 250 ml glass containers. In each experiment, 1-day-old hatching 15 eggs of ladybird H. variegata were transferred into each glass container. After conducting preliminary tests and determining the range of concentrations, The basic experiment was repeated with 5 levels and 4 done. After hatching eggs predator losses (3 days) were recorded.
