Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate and evaluate the economic feasibility of using algae as a source of biofuel production in Iran. In the research process, the factors of technology and raw materials, economic factor and production characteristics factor were investigated. The sample size of the study was 115 experts in this field and related organizations. A researcher-made questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.98 was used for data collection and Spss24 and Amos24 software were used for data analysis. The results showed that the economic factor has the highest perceived usefulness on the structure. All factors were significant at 99% confidence level. According to the respondents, the economic factor in the production of biofuel from algae is of great importance. Summarizing the respondents' answers to two research questions, it can be concluded that respondents believe that Iran is ranked first in the world due to the low price of energy carriers, so no investment is found where there is high risk of investment. With the current fossil fuel prices that exist in society. There will be no competition between renewable and fossil fuels As it can be seen, most respondents do not consider the economic justification for algae production despite the government's subsidy on fossil fuels and the cheap supply of these fuels in Iran. Economic sanctions do not have the effect of providing technology, but the infrastructure is not available in the country. It is recommended that research be conducted to evaluate and evaluate the environmental, social and cultural characteristics of biofuel production from algae.
