Abstract

The issue of food security is one of the major challenges of today's population. Agricultural scientists and experts are looking to propose the best way to ensure the future supplying of the human food. Organic agriculture (as one type of agriculture) is based on specific ecological criteria, which aimed sustainability and food security. With regard to the principles and characteristics of organic agriculture, food security can be implemented in society with adhering its specific standards. This agriculture results in healthy and welfare security in society because of the production of healthy and high quality food and the creation of food security through the supply and availability of food and sustainable production. Therefore, it can be seen that the development of organic agriculture and food security are linked together.
