Abstract

Historically, plants have been important in the development of different communities, so that the use of Medicinal plants has traditionally been common from ancient times. The importance of medicinal plants and recognizing their vital role in national, regional and global goals progresses for the realization of health, medicinal self-sufficiency, employment creation, and economic development are not recondite. For this reason, there has long been extensive research to find natural medicinal products and substances. Iran with 8000 plant species in approximate is one of the secondary genetic centers and also a habitat of many of these valuable plants. Unfortunately, in the past, indiscriminate and unprofitable harvesting without replacing these plants has led to further genetic erosion, so it makes undeniable the restoration of the natural resources of this very important gene pool to reduce erosive pressure. Lack of proper machinery has also made difficult the restoration of plant habitats. In this study, we comprehensively investigated the available machines for cultivation of medicinal and rangeland plants with emphasis on native medicinal plants in Ardebil province, as much as analyze the whole subject, define an appropriate strategy for development and self-sufficiency in the manufacture of machinery and precision instruments associated with the cultivation of these plants.
