Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of potato waste products with multi-enzyme on blood parameters and intestinal morphometric parameters of broiler chickens in a completely randomized design with five treatments in four replications and 14 broiler chicks in both replicates. And it was done with 280 pieces. Experimental diets contained three levels of potato wastes (0, 15 and 25%) and two levels of multi-enzyme (0 and 0.2%). Experimental treatments affected some of the studied blood parameters, so that high level of potato waste products (25%) with multi-enzyme significantly reduced triglycerides and LDL levels (P <0.05) and The above treatment resulted in elevated serum HDL levels compared to the control group (P <0.05). However, the above treatments had no effect on serum cholesterol levels.intestinalmorphometry, height of villi in jejunum and ileum, as well as crypt depth only in ileum were significantly affected by experimental diets. (P <0.05). The ratio of villi height to crypt depth was not affected by the experimental diets in any part of the small intestine. In general, according to the results of the present study, the use of potato waste productswith multi-enzyme can have a positive effect on HDL serum concentration and morphometric parameters of the intestine and thus the health of birds.
