Abstract

Realism is literary school in the mid-nineteenth century , the us prevailed in Europe between the years 1850-1880. social realism is a kind of realism that its topic is studyng .social a issues and problems. The purpose of writers in this kind of realism is revealing social and economical structures that led to many distresses and problems in liresmiddle class socicty. Naguib mahfuz conterporary Egyption writer and winner of noble prize was born in 1911 in csiro. He wrote his first experience in a series of short stories under: whisper of madness to study social facts of Egypt society. However he experirnced tempre in different way in several stages of his w ritings Egypt and its changes was permanent topic of his stories. This thesis under reflecting of social realism in a serirs of whisper in madness short stories if naguib mahfuz deals with studing authors of stories of such series.this series of his praqmatic short stories refers to social and poliatical issues in thirties and reflects the deviations that govern in men and women relations vrnality fovaritism poverty andtreachery.
