Abstract

Literary works of any nation in addition to its representation role of past time, is a direct mirror of thoughts and resources to invite human being to the advice and virtue. Fozouli,one of the 10th century poets who has created a big number of master-pieces in Arabic,Persian,Turkish.In fact the main topic of Fozouli’s persian poetical-work is love and kindness,specially in persian lyrics love and kindness find a vast concept through which all the spritual worlds of the poet is expressed. And Because of this,he would prefer to deal with this contents more,and one of the high frequently used contents in Fozouli’s poetical-works is the term of sorrow and all the other contents related to that, which made a huge part of works of the gnostic poet and maybe for this reason he is famous as a sorrowful poet. In this research it is tried to deal with the sorrow in Fozoulis’ worldview and the type of his perspective about sorrow and misfortune, inaccordance to this purpose lots of subject-matters and articles, although realy rare but collected,and lost of cotents are evaluated,ultimately this thesis is compiled in four chapters.An abstract and an introduction, within the first chapter it is tried to explain generalities about the subject- matter, through the second chapter Quran and dignitaries authoritie’s recommendations of theology, and gnosticism , third chapter is about Fozouli’s thoughts about sorrow that its first part is about poet’s biography and then three high frequently used concepts of his poeticl- work :sorrow,pain and cry, also it deals with the reasons of their genesis , kinds , benefits and the other concepts related to them. And within the fourth chapter considering all these subject-matters we can get the result that his sorrows are more praised and there is not much about indecency and that the most of his sorrow is love one & he introduces other sorrows along with this love sorrow. Anyway his sorrow is not the worldly one and he neve knew himself as a person who is dependent on the concerns and belongings of the world.
